James "Jimmy" Gallagher (born June 8, 1905 in Newark , † in New Jersey ) was an American football player .
Club career
Gallagher, not to be confused with the World Cup participant of the same name, James J. Gallagher , was active at club level for Ryerson Juniors .
National team
He was also a member of the United States national soccer team and took part in the 1928 Summer Olympics with her . There he came to a use in the game against the Argentine selection and scored one of the two goals of the American team in the 2-11 defeat. He had already played his first of two international matches against Poland in 1924.
