James Holmes (actor)

James Holmes (born 1965 in Wolverhampton , United Kingdom ) is a British actor and screenwriter who is best known for his role as Clive on the BBC sitcom Miranda .

Life

Holmes has appeared in many West End and regional theater productions, including the role of Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest for the New Players Theater and various roles in Catherine Tate 's theater comedy show. Holmes trained at The Poor School in London . Holmes also appeared in the British series Psychoville and Dani's House .

He could be heard as Roy Silver in the BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Agatha Raisin series by MC Beaton, Marion Chesney . He also had a cameo in Coronation Street .
