James Napier Robertson

James William Robertson Napier (born March 24, 1982 in Wellington ) is a New Zealand actor , director and screenwriter.

Life

He made his screen debut as a small child in an extra role in the third part of the Mad Max film series . Napier only became known when he was 20 when he played "Jay" in the youth series The Tribe . In 2004 he also played the red ranger Conner McKnight in " Power Rangers Dino Thunder " and had a guest appearance as this in the successor series Power Rangers SPD . In his early twenties, he became more drawn to the camera. He moved to LA and created his first feature films there. When his friend Tom Hern came to visit him and said he would like to make a film, I'm Not Harry Jenson was made in 2009. Then it went back to New Zealand, where he worked for several yearsGenesis Potini's talent worked until it was released in 2014 and came out in Germany in 2016. In 2018 he wrote 2 episodes for the TV series Romper Stomper, which he also directed. In 2020 he was the director of several episodes of The Luminaries. His uncle Marshall Napier and his daughter Jessica are also well known New Zealand actors.

In 2016 he had a son and in 2018 he had a daughter. His wife is the music composer Dana Lund. They live together in Auckland.
