James Reid (born March 8, 1875 in Buckie , † March 19, 1957 ibid) was a British sports shooter from Scotland .

James Reid took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm , where he competed in two disciplines. He finished the individual competition with the army rifle at 600 m with 86 points in 13th place. With the army rifle, he was also part of the British team, which finished second over four different distances behind the United States and ahead of Sweden. In addition to Reid, Harcourt Ommundsen , Edward Skilton , Henry Burr , Edward Parnell and Arthur Fulton won the silver medal. With 266 points, he was the team's second best shooter along with Burr, Skilton and Parnell.
