James Steacy
James "Jim" Steacy (born May 29, 1984 in Saskatoon ) is a Canadian hammer thrower .
In 2005 he won the Francophonie Games . The following year he won silver at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and was sixth at the World Athletics Cup in Athens .
In 2007 he won the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro , but was eliminated from the qualification at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka .
At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, he was twelfth.
In 2009 he won silver at the Universiade in Belgrade . At the 2011 World Cup , he failed in the preliminary round, and at the 2012 Olympic Games he failed to qualify.
In 2014 he won the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and in 2015 he finished eighth in the Pan American Games in Toronto .
On May 16, 2008 he set the current Canadian record in Lethbridge with 79.13 m.
