The 10th Athletics World Cup took place on September 16 and 17, 2006 in the Olympic Stadium in Athens ( Greece ).
408 athletes from 66 nations took part. The winner was the men's team from Europe and the women's team from Russia .
The competition was last held in this form. In 2010 in Split , the event was continued with a new mode as the Continental Cup .
