Sean Harris
Sean Harris (born 1966 in London , England ) is a British actor . The character actor is best known for his role as Micheletto Corella in the television series The Borgias . In 2014 he won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in the British television series Southcliffe .
Life
Not too much is known about Sean Harris' personal life as he strictly keeps it out of the public eye. He is considered a more introverted personality. Harris was born in London and grew up as an only child in Norwich , Norfolk , where he lived until he was 23 years old. He wasn't a very good student and intended to start a career as a football player. After he broke his leg at the age of 15, he had to give up this career aspiration. He then turned to acting and went to London to study acting at the Drama Center London from 1989 to 1992 . Shortly after graduating, he began his theater career and was engaged for several roles. The inspiration for Harris' profession was provided by the American Barbra Streisand in the film musical Funny Girl .
In 1994, Harris made his first guest appearance on the television series The Watchdog . This was followed by others like Sings and Woders, The Vet and Kavanagh QC. He became better known in 2002 with the films Tom & Thomas and 24 Hour Party People and in 2004 with Traumata and Creep . In 2008 Harris played two leading roles in the films Ashes to Ashes - Back to the 80s and Waking the Dead - On behalf of the dead . The following year he made a guest appearance on Law & Order: UK and starred in the film Harry Brown . In 2011 he played the leading role of the kidnapper Mr. Kidd in the thriller A Lonely Place to Die - Death Trap Highlands and from 2011 to 2013 the leading role of Micheletto in the television series The Borgias .
In 2012 Harris starred in Ridley Scott's Prometheus , followed the following year in a leading role in the British miniseries Southcliffe , for which he received a BAFTA award. In 2014 he got the role of the accountant Campbell alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in the drama Serena and roles in the films '71 and The Goob and the series Jamaica Inn . In 2014 he was in the film Deliver Us From Evil in the role of Santinos and in 2015 as the main antagonist in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation . In addition, Harris took on the supporting role of Macduff in the real-life version Macbeth of William Shakespeare's tragedy in the same year . In 2018 he appeared again in Mission: Impossible - Fallout in the role of the villain Solomon Lane .
