Drama Center London
The Drama Center London , or Drama Center for short , is a drama school in Clerkenwell . It is part of the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design at the University of the Arts London .
The school was founded in 1963 by renegade teachers and students from the Central School of Speech and Drama . The reason for the split was the wish to use the Stanislawski system and the method acting based on it, as well as the Laban movement studies in the classroom.
Since 1999 it has been part of the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with courses in acting and directing.
