James Stephen (politician, 1758)
James Stephen (born June 30, 1758 in Poole , † October 10, 1832 in Bath ) was a British parliamentarian.
Stephen was an English lawyer who worked for the abolitionist William Wilberforce .
From 1808 to 1815 he was a member of the House of Commons . First he represented the constituency of Tralee , then from 1812 East Grinstead .
His grandson was Leslie Stephen and his great granddaughter was Virginia Woolf .
