James Stewart (athlete)
James Stewart ( James Daniel Stewart; born December 6, 1906 in Barstow , Texas , † January 20, 1991 in Sweetwater , Texas) was an American decathlete and high jumper .
As US runner-up in the decathlon, he qualified for the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam , where he finished fourth.
For the University of Southern California , he became the 1930 NCAA high jump champion.
