James T. Goodrich

James Tait Goodrich (born April 16, 1946 in Oregon , † March 30, 2020 in New York City ) was an American brain surgeon .

Life

James T. Goodrich was from Oregon. He served in the Marines in the Vietnam War . Goodrich studied at the University of California, Irvine, and then at Columbia University , where he earned a Masters and PhD in philosophy and then in medicine . He completed the practical stations of his medical training in New York.

He was at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx for thirty years . There he headed the department for pediatric neurosurgery . Goodrich also taught as a professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He also gained fame outside of his field through the separation of the Siamese twins Carl and Clarence Aguirre in 2004 and Jadon and Anias McDonald in 2016.

James T. Goodrich died on March 30, 2020 at the age of 73 as a result of a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
