James Vanderbilt

James Vanderbilt (born November 1975 ) is an American film producer and screenwriter .

Life

James Vanderbilt comes from the American Vanderbilt family . He is the son of Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt III and Alison Campbell (née Platten). He is also a distant cousin of Anderson Cooper .

Vanderbilt graduated from the USC School of Cinema-Television (graduated in 1999). For his most successful film as a screenwriter to date, Zodiac - Die Spur des Killers , in which he also acted as a producer under the direction of David Fincher , he was nominated for six film awards, but could not convert any of them into a trophy. His next film, The Amazing Spider-Man, came out in 2012, and he wrote the script with Steven Kloves and Alvin Sargent .
