James Walker (born August 25, 1983 in Jersey ) is a British racing driver .

Career

After Walker started his motorsport career in karting in 1999, he switched to British Formula Ford in 2001 , where he stayed for three years. In 2003 Walker won the Scholarship Class championship . In 2004 he moved to the British Formula 3 championship for Hitech Racing and was 18th in the overall standings. In 2005, Walker stayed in the British Formula 3 championship and finished eleventh overall for Fortec Motorsport . The Brit's highlight of the season was his first win in this series at the Nürburgring . In 2006 Walker returned to Hitech Racing and contested his third season in British Formula 3. Without having won a race, he improved to ninth place in the overall standings. He and his team also took part in two Formula 3 Euro Series race weekends .

In 2007 Walker left the British Formula 3 and started for Fortec Motorsport in the World Series by Renault . Although the Briton won a race, he only finished 19th in the overall standings. The following season, Walker stayed with Fortec Motorsport and improved to 13th overall. He also competed in some Superleague Formula races and won a race for the Borussia Dortmund team, which is supported by Zakspeed . In 2009 , Walker contested his third season in the World Series by Renault for the P1 Motorsport team . With a win he finished fifth in the overall standings at the end of the season.

In 2010 , Walker returned to the Superleague Formula and competes for the Liverpool FC team, which is supported by the Atech Grand Prix . After the first race weekend, Walker still cannot show the finish line. Until 204 he drove sports car races in the Le Mans Series and in 2017, after two years of absence, drove a race in the VLN Endurance CUP5 .
