Jamie Pace (born January 1, 1977 in Hammersmith , London ) is a Maltese football player . The former international is under contract with third division club Vittoriosa Stars .

Club career

Jamie Pace played in English amateur football for Tooting & Mitcham United, Sutton United , Barton Rovers and Carshalton Athletic until 2001 before moving to Pietà Hotspurs in Malta . After loan periods with Sliema Wanderers and FC Valletta during the 2003/04 season, he then played for FC Marsaxlokk between 2004 and 2008 . He won the Maltese national championship in 2006/07. From 2008 he was active again for Valletta FC. There he won his third championship in 2011. In early 2012 he switched to FC Balzan on loan until the end of the season , after which the agreement was extended by one year. In the summer of 2013 he returned to Valletta, but was no longer used there. In October 2013 he joined Gżira United in the First Division . At the end of the 2015/16 season he achieved promotion with his team. However, Pace left the club to Senglea Athletics and continued to play in the First Division . At the beginning of 2017 he switched to the Vittoriosa Stars .

National team

Pace made his debut for the Maltese national team on February 9, 2005 in a friendly against Norway. He scored his first international goal in the European Championship qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina on September 2, 2006. In addition to qualifying for the European Championship 2008, Pace also played in the qualifying games for the 2010 World Cup. His last appearance was in the European Championship qualifier against Latvia on October 7, 2011.
