The FC Marsaxlokk is a Maltese football club from the village of Marsaxlokk .
history
Founded on November 3, 1949 as Marsaxlokk White Stars , the club changed its name in 1954 and has since been called simply FC Marsaxlokk . Initially, the club played only under-class, in 2002 it was promoted to the first-class Maltese Premier League . In the 2006/07 season, the team won the Maltese championship.
In September 2009 the club was transferred to the second Maltese league after the 2nd match day of the current season; The reason was ongoing corruption by officials. The FC Marsaxlokk succeeded in the consequence of the immediate rise. In 2012 they only reached 12th and last place and were relegated again. In the 2013/14 season Marsaxlokk only played in the fourth-rate third division.
