Jamshed Burjorji Vesugar

Jamshed Burjorji Vesugar (born May 26, 1894 in Bombay , † March 1971 in Washington, DC ) was an Indian diplomat .

Life

Jamshed Burjorji Vesugar married Estelle Reid Needham (* 1916; † 1998). He is Bachelor of Civil Engineering of the University of London and entered on October 22, 1917 in the Indian Civil Service .

In January 1920 he became deputy managing director of colonial road construction. On May 5, 1921, he completed a Lower Standard Examination in Urdu. In October 1926 he became managing director of colonial road construction. In April 1937 he became State Secretary of the Public Works Department , Bridges and Roads Branch (Road and Bridge Construction Department) and visited Hans Hasso von Veltheim at Ostrau Castle . On October 18, 1937, Fritz Todt and Abdul Majid Zabuli signed a German-Afghan agreement on construction and land transport. In May 1942 he became road and road construction advisor to the government of Victor Hope, 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow. In August 1943 he became deputy head of the Public Works Department . In April 1944 he became an industrial advisor in the Government of Victor Hope's Department of Industries and Civil Supplies , 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow.

From 1946 to 1947 he directed the India Supply Mission of the Government of Victor Hope, 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow in Washington, DC

On April 22, 1949 he was accredited as Ministre plénipotentiaire to the government of Juan Perón . The Indian diplomatic mission in Buenos Aires was upgraded to an embassy on July 10, 1950th Until 1952 he was also accredited to the government of Gabriel González Videla in Santiago de Chile and Manuel Apolinario Odría Amoretti in La Paz .
