Jan Fyt
Jan Fyt , or Johannes Fyt or Jan Fijt (born March 15, 1611 in Antwerp ; † September 11, 1661 ibid) was a Flemish painter .
He was a student of Frans Snyders and worked in his workshop until 1631. In 1629/30 Fyt was accepted into the Guild of Luke . From 1633 to 1634 he stayed in Paris and traveled to Italy . He was valued by his contemporaries as a painter who specialized in hunting still lifes . Also pictures of animals , fruit and flower still lifes are among his favorite genres.
