Lampenberg ( Swiss German : Lampebrg ) is a municipality in the Waldenburg district of the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .

The farming village is 522 m above sea level. M. on a plateau between the Frenkentälern.
history
Traces of a Neolithic Silex mine were discovered in 1989 in the Stälzler forest . The first written mention of Lampenberc is dated to the year 1226 . The names on -berg belong to a later Alemannic settlement era. In the 13th century, the Frohburgers, as masters of the village, donated several goods to the Schöntal monastery. Her family of servants, the nobles von Lampenberg, also made donations to the monastery. In 1400, Lampenberg came to the city of Basel with the Waldenburg office. In the Middle Ages, Lampenberg had a chapel dedicated to St. Verena, which was converted into a residential building in 1532.

Since 1929, Lampenberg has had a silver ploughshare on a red background as its coat of arms . Tradition speaks of the ploughshare as a symbol of the community. The flag is red and white.
