Liedertswil is a municipality in the Waldenburg district of the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .
In local parlance, the name Tschoppehof for Liedertswil has been retained to this day. It is said to go back to Durs Tschopp, who owned the farm in 1530.
geography
With 154 inhabitants and an area of 1.94 km², the municipality of Liedertswil is the smallest municipality in the district and, after Kilchberg BL, the smallest in the entire canton. The village lies on the banks of the Weigistbach, which flows into the Vordere Frenke in Waldenburg .
The municipality of Liedertswil borders Titterten in the north, Oberdorf in the east, Waldenburg in the south and Reigoldswil in the west .
In 2015, the Baselland archeology announced that the remains of an early castle complex from the Middle Ages had been found in the municipality of Liedertswil, in the Mörlifluh area. The site is 890 meters above sea level, making it the highest castle in the Basel area.
