Jan Cornelis (Jan Kees) de Jager (born February 10, 1969 in Kapelle (Zeeland) ) is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratisch Appèl party (CDA) and was the country's finance minister from 2010 to 2012 .

Life

From February 22, 2007 to February 23, 2010 he was State Secretary for Finance . From February 23, 2010 he was finance minister in the Balkenende IV cabinet and since October 14, 2010 in the Rutte I cabinet . From June 17, 2010 to October 14, 2010 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General .

From 1992 to 2007 he was director of the IT company Sana Commerce .

De Jager studied business administration at Nyenrode University of Economics and economic sociology as well as business administration and law at Erasmus University Rotterdam . In May 2011, Jager stated that he had a significant other.
