Neu-Puschwitz , Upper Sorbian , is a settlement in the center of the Bautzen district in East Saxony and has been part of the Puschwitz community since 1936 . The place is located in Upper Lusatia and is part of the Sorbian settlement area .
geography
Neu-Puschwitz is located one kilometer north of Puschwitz at the confluence of the Puschwitzer Wasser and Jeßnitzer Bach rivers. It is thus the northernmost part of the municipality of Puschwitz. The northern neighbor is Lomske in the municipality of Neschwitz .
history
The settlement was founded by the Puschwitz manor at the end of the 18th century and was initially named after its owner Georg Stiller Stillersroda . In the 19th century the current place name then prevailed.
