Neu-Lauske , Nowy Łusč in Upper Sorbian ? / i , is a settlement in the center of the Bautzen district in East Saxony and has been part of the Puschwitz community since 1936 . The place is part of the Sorbian settlement area ; a large part of the population speaks Sorbian as their mother tongue. Audio file / audio sample

geography

Neu-Lauske is located on a hill between Lauske in the northwest and Storcha in the south and can therefore be seen from all neighboring towns. To the north is the Guhra wind farm; in the east the village of Weidlitz . It is the southernmost of eight districts in the municipality of Puschwitz.

history

The settlement was set up at the beginning of the 19th century by the Lausker manor on the corridor of its "mother town" and in 1834 already had 60 inhabitants, 16 of them Catholics.
