Jan Lubrański
Jan Lubrański (* 1456 ; † May 22, 1520 ) was a Polish bishop , politician and diplomat . He had a Godziemba coat of arms.
From 1497 to 1498 he was Bishop of Płock and from 1498 Bishop of Posen . He founded numerous churches in his diocese and was the initiator of the reconstruction of the Poznan Cathedral . As a bishop he was automatically a parliamentarian and worked closely with the Polish kings. He was also often used as a diplomat.
In 1519 he founded the Lubrański Academy named after him in Poznan.
