Jan de Vries (athlete)
Jan Cornelius de Vries (born March 2, 1896 in Zwolle , † April 19, 1939 in The Hague ) was a Dutch sprinter .
In 1920 he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Antwerp over 100 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.
At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he won bronze with the Dutch team in the 4 x 100 meter relay . He failed in the first lap over 200 m .
In 1920 he became national champion over 100 m with his personal best of 10.8 seconds.
