Jana Fischer (born May 8, 1999 in Titisee-Neustadt ) is a German snowboarder . She specializes in snowboard cross .

Career

Fischer took part in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , she finished sixth. In the ski / snowboard cross team competition, she won the gold medal together with Sebastian Pietrzykowski and the two ski crossers Celia Funkler and Cornel Renn . In February 2017 she started the World Cup on Feldberg for the first time and finished 25th and 21st. She won the silver medal at the 2017 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Klínovec .

The following year Fischer took part in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she was eliminated in the quarterfinals and finished in 16th place. At the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , she finished 17th in the individual and 11th in the team competition. At the beginning of April 2019 she won the gold medal in the individual at the Junior World Championships at the Reiteralm .
