Jana Kassowa ( Bulgarian Яна Касова , English transcription Yana Kasova ; born August 13, 1981 ) is a former Bulgarian hurdler who had specialized in the 100-meter distance .
Her greatest success is winning the bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships in 2002 in Munich.
In 2001 she became national champion over 100 m hurdles outdoors, in 2000 and 2002 over 60 m hurdles indoors. Her personal best of 12.75 s she achieved on June 23, 2002 in Banská Bystrica .
In 2003, shortly before the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , she broke her left foot during training and had to undergo an operation. Further complications prevented a return to competitive sport.
