The Janaplateau ( Russian Янское плоскогорье , Janskoje ploskogorje) is a plateau as part of the East Siberian Mountains ( Russia , Asia ).

geography

The Janaplateau lies in the area of ​​the central reaches of the Jana in the northeast of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) , on both sides of the Arctic Circle. In the east it is framed by the foothills of the Tscherski Mountains and in the west by the Verkhoyansk Mountains . In the southeast the Janaplateau into the highlands of Oimjakon , with which it forms a tectonic unit , together also called Jana-Oimjakon-Hochland (Яно-Оймяконское нагорье).
