Jane Hempel

Christiane Jane Hempel (born July 29, 1947 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

Jane Hempel trained at the Drama School Zerboni and the Falckenberg School - Theater of Youth in Munich . Then she worked at various German city and state theaters. She played leading roles in classic pieces such as Mother Courage , Threepenny Opera or The Broken Krug . As Eliza , she appeared on stage in the musical My Fair Lady , and she was Sally Bowles in Cabaret .

From 1993 to 1999 she played in all 168 episodes of the RTL series Stadtklinik , where she was seen as sister Marion Kemmer . She also took on guest roles in the series Lindenstrasse , Lohbeck and Balko . From December 21, 2001 to 2009, Jane Hempel stood with interruptions in the daily soap Unter Uns on RTL as Sophie Himmel-Eiler, who had previously been played by Karin Schröder . In 2013 she was seen in the Stallion Parade of the television series Wilsberg .

Jane Hempel lives in Düsseldorf , is single and has a brother.

She is very involved in animal welfare and law.
