Jani Rauhala (born April 10, 1978 ) is a former Finnish amateur boxer.

Career

Jani Rauhala played his first fight in 1993; by 1997 he had won 56 out of 68 fights. He was the 1996 Finnish junior light middleweight champion, 1996, 1997 and 1998 Finnish light middleweight champion, 2001, 2002 and 2003 Finnish middleweight champion, and 2004 and 2005 Finnish light heavyweight champion.

In addition, he won the international Gee-Bee tournament in Helsinki in 1998, as well as the international Tammer tournament in Tampere in 1998, 2001 and 2002 . His greatest achievement was winning a bronze medal in the middleweight division at the 2002 European Championships in Perm , Russia ; after victories against Arnis Ritenieks from Latvia (21:15) and Piotr Wilczewski from Poland (22:12), he was only defeated in the semifinals against Oleg Maschkin from Ukraine (14:29).
