Jannis Hopt (born August 3, 1996 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

As a teenager, Hopt played at VfB Friedrichshafen in his home town , with whom he became German U18 champions in 2012 and German U20 champions in 2014 and 2015. Until 2014, Hopt also played in the Friedrichshafen “Volley YoungStars” in the second division. In the 2014/15 season, the setter was under contract with the Bundesliga club Chemie Volley Mitteldeutschland , but was rarely used due to a protracted knee injury. Then Hopt moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga United Volleys Rhein-Main , with whom he was third in the first season. In 2018 he moved to Bundesliga club TV Rottenburg .
