Lorenz Karlitzek (born February 17, 1999 in Hammelburg ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Karlitzek started his career in his hometown with TV / DJK Hammelburg. He also played in parallel with the VC Olympia Kempfenhausen junior team in the third division and in the U18 team of TSV Unterhaching . He played with Hammelburg from 2015 to 2017 in the second Bundesliga south . In 2017 the U18 international moved to the German Bundesliga club United Volleys Rhein-Main . There he played with his older brother Moritz Karlitzek . In the 2017/18 season he reached the semifinals with the club in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs . In the 2018/19 season he was eliminated with Frankfurt in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs in the quarter-finals against SVG Lüneburg . He also took part in the Champions League , in which the Hessians came as a newcomer to the group stage. Then he moved to league competitor TV Rottenburg . Since TV Rottenburg withdrew from the first division in 2020, Karlitzek returned to his old club in Hammelburg and played there in the 2nd Bundesliga South.
