Mitchell Steven Penning (born April 17, 1995 in St. Louis ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Penning began his career at the Westminster Christian Academy. In 2012 he was appointed to the US junior national team for the first time. In 2014 he took part in the U21 World Cup with the team. From 2014 to 2017 he studied at Pepperdine University and played on the university team. After graduating, the middle blocker went to the Italian first division club Biosi Indexa Sora . In 2018 he moved to the German Bundesliga club TV Rottenburg .
