Moritz Karlitzek (born August 12, 1996 in Hammelburg ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Karlitzek began his career at the local TV / DJK Hammelburg, with whom he rose to the Third League South . At the same time, the outside attacker played for the junior team of VC Olympia Kempfenhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga South . In 2014 Karlitzek moved to the Bundesliga club VSG Coburg / Grub . After a season he went to league competitor TV Rottenburg . In the 2015/16 season, the Rottenburger retired as tenth in the pre-play-offs. Karlitzek gave in 40 appearances in the Junior National Team in 2016 his debut in the senior team . The 2016/17 Bundesliga season also ended for Karlitzek with the TVR in the pre-play-offs. With the national team he took part in the 2017 European Championships in Poland , in which the DVV selection was only defeated in the final against Russia and won the first European silver medal in history. He also played in the world league in 2017 . For the 2017/18 season he moved to league competitor United Volleys Frankfurt . There he played together with his younger brother Lorenz Karlitzek . In the 2017/18 season he reached the semifinals with the club in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs . In the 2018/19 season he was eliminated with Frankfurt in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs in the quarter-finals against SVG Lüneburg . He also took part in the Champions League , in which the Hessians came as a newcomer to the group stage. He then moved to the Italian club Top Volley Latina . With the national team, he took part in the Nations League in 2019 .
