Composite boats

At Janousek, a distinction is made between composite boats, those under the Janousek brand and those sold under the Stämpfli brand. The boats of the Janousek brand are aimed primarily at rowers in club sports from advanced beginners to ambitious amateur athletes , with a correspondingly lower price level and a little more robustness. The boats are primarily constructed in a sandwich construction from pre-impregnated fiberglass material with a honeycomb core. Janousek boats are usually delivered with wooden roller seats , aluminum roller rails and Janousek shoes. You can only choose between three-strut aluminum brackets and aluminum wing brackets.

In contrast, higher-priced boats are sold under the Stämpfli brand, which are primarily aimed at competitive rowers. The boats are tuned more precisely and are lighter. The boats are mainly manufactured in sandwich construction from carbon fibers pre-impregnated with synthetic resin with a honeycomb core. The configuration options are larger with Stämpfli boats, so you can choose between 3-strut aluminum brackets, aluminum wing brackets, aluminum pressure wing brackets, carbon brackets and carbon wing brackets.

Janousek and Stämpfli composite boats are offered in the boat classes single , double without helmsman , double scull , quad without helmsman , double quad , double quad with helmsman, eight and double eight , as well as "convertibles" (scull and oar boom). All composite boats are produced at the main location in Byfleet.

Training boats

The training boats are wider constructed boats that are primarily designed for robustness and stability. The target group are mainly beginners, but also touring rowers and amateur athletes who are out and about on rivers .

The boat classes called “Planche a Ramer” (single), “Fun Skiff” (single), “Fun Double” (double scull) and “Yolette” (double quad with helmsman) are offered. All training boats are manufactured by Eurodiffusions in Avignon , France .

Traditional boats

Stämpfli describes itself as the only company that still builds wooden skiffs (in the traditional way). From cedar wood , single, double and double without a helmsman are individually produced by hand according to the customer's wishes. The boats are manufactured in the Stämpfli workshop on Lake Zurich in Zurich , Switzerland .
