Anton Jantl
Anton Jantl (* 1723 in Graz ; † May 7, 1805 ibid) was an Austrian painter.
Works
- Around 1773/74 a late baroque high altar sheet of the birth of Christ was made for the Catholic parish church Pinkafeld in Burgenland .
- In 1776 he painted a high altar picture of St. Bartholomäus for the parish church Bad Gams in Styria .
- Around 1780/1790 a high altar painting was created with the motif of the donation of St. Martin in the parish church of Riegersburg in Styria.
- In 1783 he painted a high altar sheet depicting the apostle Thomas. It is in the parish church of St. Thomas im Walde in Unterpremstätten in Styria.
- In 1790 he created an altarpiece with the motif of the Immaculate Conception in the Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception in Tobelbad in Styria.
- In 1791 he created side altar paintings in the parish and pilgrimage church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in the Kirchweiler Heilbrunn , Styria.
- In 1792 he painted the right side altar picture with the motif of the Nativity in the parish church of St. Laurentius in Übelbach in Styria.
- 1797 High altar painting of Maria Magdalena in the parish church of Sankt Magdalena am Lemberg
- He also created a portrait of Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg based on the model of the painter Franz Anton Palko ; it is located in the Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz.
