description
The four-storey, Gothic church tower with an onion helmet and baroque bell chamber is attached to the southern choir corner. In the tower there is a sgraffito, painted by Anton Hafner in 1970, depicting a protective cloak Madonna . There is an inscription on the outer side of the basement that refers to the year 1518. At the end of the choir there is another inscription pointing to the year 1549. On the western outer wall there is a covered staircase to the gallery .
The wide, four-bay , baroque nave dates from the middle of the 18th century. It is spanned by a groin vault with belt arches. Furthermore, it has set pilasters shaped as pilasters . The Gothic choir from the 16th century is two-bay and has a three-eighth closure. It is vaulted by a ribbed vault resting on consoles . It also has two-lane tracery windows . The church tower is built in the southern choir corner. To the north of the choir are the baroque sacristy and the wooden oratory, which is designed in the Rococo style . The loft with wooden balustrade is located on pillars in the western part of the nave. The organ was installed in 2004.
The church has significant Rococo furnishings. On the high altar erected in 1783 is a simultaneous altar sheet, painted over by Anton Jantl , which depicts the Apostle Thomas . There are also two statues of the weather saints John and Paul on the high altar. Next to the high altar are two rococo statues of Saints Valentin and Patritius. The two side altars and the pulpit were probably made by Jakob Peyer between 1760 and 1770 . On the left side altar there is a portrait of the Holy Family , on the right one of the three Anna herself . There is also a picture of the adoration of the child painted by Anton von Berg in 1839 and a baroque baptismal font half set into the wall in the church.
