The Jardim Motael (also Jardim 12 de Novembro ) is a park in the center of the East Timorese capital Dili .

Jardim Motael is located opposite the Church of Santo António de Motael , between Avenida de Motael and the shores of the Bay of Dili . The south is in the Farol district , the north in the Palapaso district ( Suco Motael , Vera Cruz administrative office ). At the southeast end is the port of Dili.

The central element of the park is the monument to the Santa Cruz massacre (also Estátua da Juventude ) on November 12, 1991. It replaced the monument for the regions of Timor in 2011, which was supposed to symbolize the 13 districts with a wooden / steel tube construction .
