Jared Schuurmans (born August 20, 1987 ) is an American athlete who specializes in discus throwing.

Athletic career

Jared Schuurmans gained his first international experience in 2014 when he won the silver medal behind Cuban Jorge Fernández at the Pan American Sports Festival in Mexico City with a width of 59.90 m . The following year he took part in the Pan American Games in Toronto , where he finished fourth with 62.32 m and also qualified for the World Championships in Beijing , where he did not reach the final with 57.74 m .

In 2015, Schuurman became the American discus thrower. He graduated from Doane University in Nebraska .
