Dante Daniel "Danny" Bonaduce (born August 13, 1959 in Broomall , Delaware County , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor , voice actor , radio host and wrestler . He became known to a wide audience as a child actor in the late 1960s and early 1970s and was voted eighth on the 100 Greatest Kid Stars Cast List of all time in 2019 .

Life

Bonaduce is the son of Betty Bonaduce (* 1924) and the screenwriter Joseph Bonaduce (1927-2004). He grew up with an older brother and an older sister. He attended high school with singer Michael Jackson and actor Christian Brando . He took acting lessons from actress Shirley Jones and received martial arts lessons from Chuck Norris for over 20 years .

Bonaduce has been married three times so far. The first marriage lasted from 1985 to 1988. From 1990 to 2008 he was married to the reality TV actress Gretchen Bonaduce . A daughter and a son followed from the marriage. He has been married to Amy Railsback since 2010. He is an avowed Republican .

Career

Bonaduce began acting as a child actor in individual episodes of various television series from 1967. He became known nationally for his impersonation of the character Danny Partridge in a total of 96 episodes of the television series The Partridge Family from 1970 to 1974. This was followed by other occupations in various film and television productions as well as episode roles in television series in the 1970s. He did not succeed in the step from successful child actor to also successful adult actor, the breakthrough was denied him.

In the 1980s and 1990s he had supporting roles in films and was seen in individual episodes of well-known American television series such as Full House , A Terribly Nice Family , The Roaring Seventies or Monk . During this time he worked for the radio station MotorMouth Radio .

In 1994 he made his debut in a professional match as a wrestler and had fights at irregular intervals mostly against other former actors. He was on the cast of the television series Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling .

The intervals between engagements increased more and more. At the turn of the millennium he was seen sporadically in episode roles and appeared in B-Movies like Bigfoot - The Legend Lives! With. Bonaduce repeatedly took on dubbing work for mainly cartoons or series.
