Jarkko Tontti
Jarkko Tontti (born December 9, 1971 in Tampere ) is a Finnish poet , writer and lawyer .
Life
Jarkko Tontti was born and raised in Tampere . He studied philosophy, law and literature at the University of Helsinki , University of Edinburgh , Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles and Humboldt University in Berlin . Tontti received his doctorate in Helsinki in 2002. jur. PhD. He lives and works in Helsinki.
Tontti made his debut as a poet in 2006 with the volume of poetry Vuosikirja . In the same year he received a nomination for the Helsingin-Sanomat Literature Prize and was awarded the Kalevi Jäntti Prize . He made his debut as a writer in 2007 with Luokkakokous .
Tontti was President of the PEN Center Finland from 2011 to 2014.
