Javid Samadov (born May 14, 1987 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani baritone .

Life

Born in Baku , Azerbaijan , Javid Samadov studied singing in his hometown at the University of Music and continued his training at the Opera Academy in Osimo, Italy, and at the International Renata Tebaldi-Mario del Monaco Academy in Pesaro. He also took master classes with William Matteuzzi, Harriet Lawson, Raina Kabaivanska, Carlo Morganti and Thomas Hampson, among others.

His stage career began in 2007 at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Azerbaijan, where he was Escamillo in " Carmen ". He made his European debut in 2009 as Belcore in Donizetti's “ Der Liebestrank ” at the Teatro Romano in Gubbio , Italy.

In the last two years Javid Samadov has made numerous appearances, including with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the International Music Festival in Qəbələ , Azerbaijan; in Ravenna (Italy) he sang in the Christmas Oratorio of Saint-Saëns , and he took part in the International Opera Workshop in Sigriswil, Thun and Bern (Switzerland).

His repertoire includes baritone roles such as Papageno from the Magic Flute , Malatesta from Don Pasquale and Leporello from Don Giovanni . He performs in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan , Russia , Israel and Europe .

In addition, opera studio member Javid Samadov was able to convince as the best young artist ( Opernwelt, 2012–2013).

Since the 2012/14 season he has been a member of the International Opera Studio in Nuremberg and sang Masetto in Don Giovanni , The Förster in Rusalka , Roucher in Andrea Chénier , Morales in Carmen , Donner in Das Rheingold , Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro for children , Count Dominik in Arabella and Baron Douphol in La traviata .

Samadov is married and has one son.
