Javier Güemez (born October 17, 1991 in Culiacán , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player who mainly acts in midfield .

career

Güemez received his first professional contract with the Dorados Los Mochis ; a farm team of the Dorados de Sinaloa , in whose first team he moved up in 2010. With the first team of the Dorados Güemez only played in the second-rate Liga de Ascenso , but won the first edition of the Mexican cup competition , which was reintroduced after 15 years , with the team in the Apertura 2012 .

He made his debut in the top Mexican division after moving to Club Tijuana on August 9, 2013 in a home game against the UNAM Pumas , which was won 2-0. Three weeks later, in an away game against Chiapas FC on August 31, 2013, he scored his first first division goal for a 1-0 lead (final result 1: 3).

For the 2015/16 season , Güemez changes to the Mexican record champions Club América .

Güemez made his debut for the Mexican national team in an international match against Panama on October 12, 2014, which was won 1-0. He was also used in all three games of "El Tri" at the 2015 Copa America .
