JayKay
JayKay is a South American singer who is mainly active in the house and dance categories . His most successful singles are Princess , Party Encore and Weekend (Wicked Wow) .
Career
As a child, JayKay lived on different Antilles islands due to his father's profession. JayKays father was a preacher and his mother gave him the strength to develop musically.
She encouraged him to study the piano and practice his voice from a very young age. He joined the church choir early on. While attending a Venezuelan boarding school, JayKay's dance techniques developed and he taught himself beatboxing and rap in several languages. In addition, he was a talented basketball player and had a lot to do with running and other athletic sports. As a young man, he solidified his career as an entertainer. He made his stage debut with his band Just 4 You . With his fan base, his ambition to become a big star grew. Within two months, JayKay was organizing a gospel event with his fans to take his next step. With over 2500 attendees, the event was a huge success and JayKay and his group won the local World Music competition.
At the age of 19 he entered the Rotterdam Music Academy , but before graduating, his girlfriend signed him up for the TV show Idols . JayKay was able to take third place here. After his success in the Netherlands, he traveled to Miami. JayKay currently lives in Los Angeles and has contracts with several music producers . These include the German producer Axel Konrad and the US producer Stephen Singer. He also produces and writes numerous songs in different languages himself. His first worldwide single Princess was released in summer 2010 and entered the Belgian charts immediately after its release.
In the fall of 2011 JayKay released a new single that he recorded together with US rapper Flo Rida and Smokey. It's called What the Girls Like . Weekend (Wicked Wow) was released in October 2011. He recorded it with Carolina Marquez, Lil Wayne & Glasses Malone. In spring 2012 he signed a contract with the record label Kontor Records and shortly afterwards released the song Party Encore with the hip-hop musicians Lil Wayne, Rick Ross & Mack 10 . On September 14th 2012 a 2k12 remix by DJ David May for the song Weekend (Wicked Wow) was released. He was featured on the compilation Kontor Top of the Clubs Vol. 56 .
