Beginnings

During the course of the show, he announced that he had consumed marijuana in front of the camera . Although there were rumors about a possible drug therapy and an associated exit Smiths, TV 4 let him continue to sing on the show for the duration of the rest of the competition.

He released his debut single Dreaming People immediately after the tournament, and he is also featured on the compilation albums of the 2010 broadcast with the song All I Need Is You .

First album and subsequent years

With his album Jay Smith , released on December 19, 2010, the musician of the same name landed straight at number 1 on the Swedish album charts. Despite the great success, the following years were marked by crashes and drug problems. The consequences of this included anger with the law, media rejection and personal immersion.

In 2014, however, Smith was able to report back. He released his second album King of Man through Sony Music , which, in contrast to his debut album, focused more on blues , country , grunge and metal .
