Marie Picasso (born April 24, 1979 in Västerås ; actually Lilly Marie Pettersson ) is a Swedish singer and television presenter.

Life

A wider audience was Picasso in 2002 as a participant in the Swedish edition of the reality TV telecast Big Brother known. As a result, she took over the moderation of various game shows at the television station TV4 and received several offers as a photo model.

In autumn 2002 she tried to start a singing career from Germany with the title song for the ZDF pre-evening series Eva - my case , but was unsuccessful. She took a second attempt in 2007 when she participated in the casting show Idol 2007 , which was broadcast on TV4 between September and December 2007. There she prevailed against her competitor Amanda Jenssen in the final broadcast . Of the more than 1.6 million votes cast, they accounted for 51.3 percent.

One day after the finale, Picasso's single This Moment was released in Sweden . With her she rose to number 1 in the Swedish charts and the single reached double platinum status .
