Jazz summer Graz
The Jazz Summer Graz is a multi-week festival that has been held annually in July and August in the Styrian capital Graz since 1998 . In the beginning only one artist per week (on several days in a row). In the meantime, this concert series has established itself as one of the largest in Austria and the program has become much more extensive in recent years.
The Jazz Summer Graz was held in a tent at Mariahilfer Platz until 2005 and has been taking place on the Schloßbergbühne Kasematten on Grazer Schloßberg since 2006 . Although very well-known artists have performed in recent years, admission to the concerts was free until 2005. For the total of 21 events in summer 2006, admission had to be paid for the first time.
The series of events ended in summer 2011 with performances by George Benson and Tower of Power
