Görlitz Jazz Days
The Görlitz Jazz Days are an annual jazz festival that has been held in the town of Görlitz in Upper Lusatia since 1996 . The organizer of the festival is the Kulturzuschlag e. V. The Jazz Days take place annually in May and June. One of the central open-air event locations has been the fish market in the southern Görlitz old town for several years . The jury court room of the Görlitz district court, the theater and the Annenkapelle have also been venues in recent years. Individual concerts also took place in the Horka fortified church and in Bad Muskauer Pückler Park .
The beginning of each Jazztage year is the series Unheard of Places , in which the festival opens every year in a different unusual location. For the first time, the Unheard Places series took place in the former yeast factory in Bautzener Strasse in 2003.

The festival had a budget of around 33,000 euros in 2010 and in previous years. The supporters of the festival include small companies and private individuals as well as the Consulate General of the USA, the Polish Institute in Leipzig and companies in the region. In 2010 around 2000 spectators attended the festival.
The most famous artists who have appeared at the festival in recent years include Karolina Glazer and Lucía Martínez in 2011, the LeipJazzig Orkester , the Nighthawks and Blowing Front in 2010 and the Tingvall Trio and Grand Mother's Funck in 2009.
