Jbel Kouaouch

The Jbel Kouaouch is with its height of 2592  m after the Jbel Amalou n'Mansour ( 2712  m ) the second highest peak of the Jbel Sarhro mountain massif in the south of Morocco . The mountain is possibly of volcanic origin.

location

Jbel Kouaouch is about halfway between the towns of Boumalne Dadès and N'Kob . The closest village, accessible via a piste road, is Igli (about 10 km as the crow flies south of the summit).

Ascent

The mountain, which is largely arid and littered with stone rubble, can be climbed from Igli on a day trip or as part of a multi-day mountain hike - starting from N'Kob in the south or from the village of Tagdilt in the north.
