Jean-Baptiste Fresez (born July 10, 1800 in Longwy , France , † March 31, 1867 ibid) was a Luxembourg painter .

Fresez studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels . In 1802 he moved to Luxembourg with his parents. His father worked in the porcelain factory in Siweburen . In 1848 he became a Luxembourg national.

Some of the painter's works can be seen in the Luxembourg State Museum (Musée national d'histoire et d'art). A stamp was issued in 1952 in Luxembourg in his honor.

  • 1857 album pittoresque du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, Edition: Vic Hoffmann, reissued in 1932 by Linden and Hansen, and in 1968 by Kutter and in 1990 by the Messageries du Livre,
  • Series of plates with motifs by the painter, published by the Siweburen manufacture.
