Jean-Baptiste de Sade

Jean-Baptiste de Sade (born July 14, 1633 in Mazan ; † December 19, 1707 ) was a French nobleman from the house of Sade . He was the fourth son of Count Jean-Baptiste de Sade and Diane de Simiane, Dame de la Coste .

He was provost of Bonnieux and Cucuron and was appointed Bishop of Cavaillon on September 4, 1665 like his uncle Richard de Sade before him and consecrated on March 14, 1666. He married his brother Côme de Sade in 1669 to Elisabeth Louet de Nogaret de Calvisson. He wrote the books Instructions chrétiennes et morales sur divers passages de l'Écriture Sainte and Adoration de sacrament de l'Eucharistie .
